Ownership

Denmark's first start-up environment

Founded in 1984 by three researchers from the University of Copenhagen, Symbion has always been non-profit. It was never the intention that anyone should make money from Symbion. As the current CEO often says, "It's the entrepreneurs who have to skim the cream, not us!". This is also why any profits are reinvested in Symbion.
